Friday, November 4, 2022 is the opening of the Holiday Gift Show at ARTWORKS around town. A festive Gallery Hop will usher in new and varied works by the Gallery’s own artists. The reception will take place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. with light refreshments served. The party is free and open to the public.
Studio Gallery curator, Janet Sheehan challenged members to come up with works depicting Holiday themes, snow scenes or whatever inspired them to create something new. There will be paintings, fine art photographs, woven and knitted items as well as jewelry. Both the Studio and Student Galleries in the north end will be full of original items that will make wonderful one-of-a-kind Holiday gifts.
Shopping is an easy and pleasant experience at ARTWORKS. Enjoy a cup of coffee in the newly relocated coffee shop and stroll through the Gallery. Gift Certificates are available as well as a vast array of works by area artists. Artworks is open six days a week from Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. It is a nonprofit Gallery and fine arts organization located in Wheeling’s Historic Centre Market.
