ARTWORKS around town is pleased to honor fine art photographer, Giulio Cappelletti as featured artist of the month. He has consistently shown his versatility and skill in all the work he produces, whether in black and white or color.
Cappelletti’s panel at the Gallery contains many examples of his range of interest and talent. He has traveled, observed and recorded with his camera. Iconic scenes from abroad and our own western states can be viewed and purchased at ARTWORKS. Black and white photography holds a special place in his repertoire, as he states, “While color can be beautiful, it can distract the viewer from the tones, form and texture of the scene.” Photographer Arnold Newman once stated “We don’t take pictures with cameras, we take them with our hearts and minds.” It’s obvious that Cappelletti shares this thought as we let our eyes enjoy his beautiful works.
